Amazing Venue and you wouldn't believe you it's still in Oakland

This was essentially my back yard for three years. Located in excellent park and provides some great outdoor entertainment. This is another under utilized gem in Oakland! This is a hidden gem. We like to get there early and picnic prior to the performance. It is so much fun to be outdoors, see wonderful performances. Great escape, while staying in town. If you are new to the area, this is where locals go!

Historic outdoor amphitheater was built as a WPA project and dedicated in 1941. In the summer, it is the venue for the Woodminster Summer Musicals.

Come to Woodminster Amphitheater and enjoy a magical performance under a star studded sky. Set in the Joaquin Miller Park, the place has a serene ambiance with a lot of picnic spots, trails for walking and greenery. Host to a number of plays and performances, the venue is a popular hub among the local youths. One can even head down for a walk on the grounds after a performance.
