There's "lots of room to spread out" at this Gaslamp sports bar/nightclub/karaoke spot, where "college students" looking to party rub elbows with "businesspeople loosening their ties"; "service needs improvement" and the food is "meh", but game days are popular for sports fans and there's "great dancing" most nights and even a private karaoke-cum-photo booth; P.S. check the dress code.

Gaslamp sports bar offers beer, grub and big screens to a casual clientele of families and friends.

In Short
A relaxed group of ball and brew fans tread across the well-worn brick floor to tall black bar stools and red overstuffed booths. On game days, the crowd bustles in for burgers...

Interesting place for Christmas dinner

We were having a hard time finding somewhere to eat Christmas dinner and just happened on this place. Very lucky choice. Wide variety of food for the 7 of us, and it was all very, very good. Service was friendly and very accommodating. It was certainly a much better option than the chain across the street, where we had intended...

Great service, apps, and happy hour

Spent a few happy hours at the Whiskey Girl during our recent trip to San Diego. Drinks and appetizers were spot on! Happy hour prices were impressive!
Our favorite server, Satya, was always there to take care of us with a smile and awesome service!

Michelle has waited on us for 2 years in a row and been fabulous. (This is the reason for a 4 star review.) She always has a smile on her face and treated us very well. Michelle was finishing her shift tonight and the oncoming bartender had some sort of issue with her. She was rude and very unprofessional …

Our server was nice. Sorry I cant remember her name. She has a fresh tattoo and a dream catcher on one arm...anyways we got the sampler platter and it was not great. The nachos were really bad....the quality was just kinda low. Great location for people watching and sculpin on draft for 4 bucks, ill take it!

Meh. We came for happy hour and it was the typical burger joint. We had wings and loaded potato skins. It was edible. Pretty sure the waitress forgot about us as it took forever to get our check, but we werent in a hurry. Probably wont come back, lackluster food, lackluster service.

This nightclub offers theme nights every night of the week. Live bands often come in to rip up the stage, as do beat-mixing DJs. They have plenty of TVs to watch the big game on and also a huge menu to keep folks full.

Tips about this business (4)

Happy Hour

Those with offices nearby come between 4pm and 8pm during the work week for $3 wells and drafts and half-price appetizers, such as calamari and chips and salsa.

Parking

Your best bet are the parking structures off Seventh Avenue. They're $3 after 6pm during the week, except for game days.

What to Drink

It's called Whiskey Girl for a reason. Get $4 Jack-and-Cokes all day, everyday.

Know Before You Go

The bar will often open earlier when the Padres are in town.
