Downtown's oldest tavern stays local with no-frills fare and a bar staff that remembers your name.

In Short

A little hole in the wall in Little Italy and it was one of our favourites. Good food and excellent staff. Many regulars here and they made us feel welcome.

Drinks were reasonable and food was too as well as delicious (calamari, buffalo wings and burger). Staff were v friendly and music/vibe was really uplifting and what we thought was typically American which we loved being tourists from the uk. Highly recommend...

Tips about this business (4)

Parking: Don't. Walk here from downtown or take the trolley to the County Center stop and walk east to Kettner. Otherwise, it's a battle with Little Italy residents for a street meter after 6pm.

The Extras: The yellow fisherman on the roof is a statue. Bar flies seated outside get a kick out of how long tourists stand and stare.
