The Landmark in the circa 1924 Warwick Melrose Hotel has seen its fair share of talented chefs over the past decade. Former sous chef Michael Pacheco is now the chef de cuisine, pushing the menu beyond hotel dining staples like steaks and Caesar salad. Though those items --- along with other expected fare like shrimp Louie and crab bisque --- remain, Pacheco is venturing into new territory with...

This hotel is a Dallas standard! Perfect location for dining, shopping, etc. Bernie at the front desk is wonderful. My reservation was canceled somehow by Expedia and he was a true professional as he took care of the situation.
We drove in to Dallas on Sunday for an evening and dinner with friends and stayed at the Melrose. Great old hotel, smartly updated, with high quality service. Large comfortable room facing west with King bed. All the amenities very top end. Bellman was great, helpful, informative. Breakfast buffet on Monday very nice with lots of options. Again, service was...

The check-in process was smooth, although I didn't hear everything the desk person said because a very good jazz band was playing in the hotel bar. I didn't...

Southern-facing rooms have the best views, but are the noisiest because of the busy intersection of Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs. For optimum quiet, request a room in the northwest corner.
Valet is $16 per day, but it's worth it--at night, this neighborhood gets crowded and street spots are scarce.
A popular location for wedding receptions and corporate meetings, Melrose offers several elegant banquet rooms that can accommodate 10-300 guests.
Guests will feel uncomfortable if they dress in anything less than business casual.
