COME EXPERIENCE WORLD CLASS PIZZA!Varasano has followed pizza-making to an abnormal level of compulsion. " Chris Ladd The New York Times "The pizzas emerge from the oven puffed with blisters, speckled with char and as light as clouds. " John Kessler The Atlanta Journal Constitution "The Pie is that of a purist. It lives up to the hype and then some. " Tom Maicon Atlanta CuisineNamed one of the...

Go-To Guide: Pizza Week Edition

Pizza Week at Eater brings a special Go-To Guide, pizza style. We asked our Go-To chef and bartender friends where they like to partake of a slice of pie, and drummed up some classics both intown and OTP. Leaving no pizza stone unturned, we also got the details on what they order, from simple pies gussied up at home to the more esoteric—pistachios and onions, anyone? So, behold, where you can...

Wine Talk with Jeff Varasano from Varasano's Pizzeria

In honor of Pizza Week here at Eater, this month's OenoFiles features Varasano's own Jeff Varasano who, after ten years of hard pizza research and home tastings for friends and family, opened his Buckhead pizzeria in 2009 to local and critical acclaim. For the Bronx native, the aim was to bring the truest representation of New York-style pizza (like his fave Patsy's in East Harlem) to his new...

Atlanta's 16 Most Iconic Pizzerias

There's no question pizza is a polarizing subject. The perfect pie isn't quite the same for any two people, and from myriad topping options to fundamentally different styles, the possibilities are virtually endless. But deconstructed, the pizza isn't really all that complicated, and some common ground is bound to emerge. Gathered here are Atlanta's 16 most iconic pizzerias, places where it's...

Where To Eat At Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL)

Revisiting Atlanta's airport dining guide seemed necessary this week, what with the busy holiday travel season ahead. Thanks to fine dining options like One Flew South and the influx of new local restaurants-turned-concourse outposts, times are a-changin' for airport food, and we want to make sure you get fed to your satisfaction whether you're running late and only have time for a quick bite...

We have been to Varzanos in Buckhead many times and have enjoyed it. However, this time service was extremely slow. one of the people in our party was served the wrong Pizza and there was in general a lot of confusion among the staff in the restaurant. In addition we do not like having to pay an additional $0.75 for more salad dressing for a salad that had very little. Once the correct Pizza...

Very good small pizzas (2 for 3 people would be how to go). Service was spotty (didn't see the waiter for the entire meal) but that just depends on your server -- another time I got good attentive service. Good vibes for a group or even a date night.

Varasano's is the best place in Atlanta for bottomless mimosas, bellinis, and bloody mary's at an even better price. I highly suggest this place for brunch.

Ask for the garlic oil. Best .75 you'll ever spend. Bacon and Peppadew hands down our favorite!

Excellent pizza. Great service. A little loud when crowded, but manageable.

One of Zagat's Top 3 Pizzeria's Rachael Ray's Elite 8 Pizzerias Conde Nast's Top Airport Food In the World

Buckhead resident and world-renowned pizza authority, Jeff Varasano, opened his first pizzeria in Atlanta in March 2009. Originally from the Bronx, Varasano moved to Atlanta in 1998, and soon realized the style of pizza he was accustomed to finding at every turn was not to be found in the Atlanta area. The ten year odyssey included traveling to the world’s best pizzerias, experimenting with...

Varasano's Pizzeria makes its own dough, using natural sourdough yeasts, which is then turned out super thin and flash baked to produce a delicate, just chewy crust. Toppings include imported bufala mozzarella, Italian cured meats, arugula, anchovies, kalamata olives, roasted peppers and more.

Parking

There is covered free valet, well worth the tip in that hard-to-park neighborhood.

What to Drink

Matching the pizza calculations perfectly, the mixologist-based cocktail menu is as complex as it is guzzleable.
