Business description (4)

The Museum of Bronx History at the Valentine-Varian House is the only museum in The Bronx that is dedicated to its rich historic heritage.

Valentine-Varian House is located at 3266 Bainbridge Ave, Bronx, NY. This location is in the Norwood neighborhood. This business specializes in Government, Tourist Attractions and Legal Services.

Housed in the Colonial-era Valentine-Varian House, the Museum of Bronx History offers a unique collection of objects, ephemera, and photographs. Exhibits on all periods of Bronx History from pre-Revolutionary days to the present are presented.

The historic Valentine-Varian House is a four-level fieldstone farmhouse that was the site of six skirmishes between American soldiers and British forces, who occupied the house for most of the Revolutionary War. The restored house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was opened in 1968 to the public as the Museum of Bronx History.
