I just had an ac unit installed last month and was happy with the job and price. My interactions with everyone was positive. I must admit I was upset when I didn't receive my ac filter. It came today but unfortunately it's small so I guess I will have to try calling and getting it replaced.

My husband and I spent thousands of dollars on a new air conditioner. First off the guy that installed it was pissed off. They are paid by the job and they waited all day for them to bring a tall enough ladder. first and last this company has no serious and responsible when you need them for repair or maintenance contract. You can spend the whole day waiting for them without receiving a call to let you know or before thirty minutes to arrive. It was finally in the fifth chance or appointment met.

On the technician's initial assessment, he advised me of the need to have my coils cleaned and said I needed to replace the entire duct system. I couldn't afford to do both, so he said the duct system was the most needed. To make a long complicated story short and simple, After the duct replacement, there was still inefficient air flow. Once again the technician said he was almost 97% sure it was due to the coils.

I had the coils removed and cleaned (by a more economical company) and still inefficient air flow. After calling Universal once again and getting the same answer I knew there...

Update(April 15) The guys were on site until about 9:30pm last night,, and the job is NOT complete,, the unit is running but the roof gable was left open overnight. And upon closer examination of the install , it is quite clear that the wall mount bracket was poorly fabricated,, with one outside corner over 2 inches higher than the other,, it is not high on one end,,, it is high on one corner,, leaving an uneven surface for the unit to sit on. Also,, there are no tiedowns installed yet,, the unit is just sitting on the crooked bracket and it rocks on two corners. I just can't wait to see...
