I was admited on 7/6 and discharged 7/20. 5 of those days were spent in ICU. I had one nurse in ICU that treated me so bad. She was my over night nurse. I had bilateral pneumonia and was on high flow oxygen because I was having such a hard time breathing. Also was on pain meds because it hurt to breathe. The nurse tried to deny me my pain meds.. I demanded the charge nurse and she got them...

The hospital staff is friendly. The cafeteria is well stocked with good food and healthy choices too if you're on a special diet.

I don't recommend the ER at United. They use out-of-network doctors. Your deductible will mean nothing and you will be stuck with a huge bill.

Very impressed with every person we came in contact with today during my Father's Day surgery. All were professional, patient, courteous, and supportive. They made a challenging day go much better. Special shout out to the volunteers who take such good care of everyone on their own time.

The history of United Hospital goes back to 1855. After various mergers and moves, it became United in 1972. This non-profit facility has over 500 beds, with a Birth Center that is a Level III perinatal center. The hospital is a leader in diagnostic and preventive medicine, with the Center for Breast Care and the John Nasseff Heart Hospital. It is a part of the Allina Health System.
