Built in 1926 as Tammany Hall, this is a large off-Broadway theater conceived in a grand style.

Recently renovated, its 499-seat size now makes it an alternative location to Broadway for new plays like ""Vita and Virginia"" and Neil Simon's ""London Suite.""

Was exciting!....my first burlesque show,flabbergasted! The scenario was so welcoming ...I felt like becoming part of the show! Took very long to get drinks,but loved it!

Awesome show!!! I bought my ticket through groupon for $49. Service was efficient, as I arrived 30 mins before showtime and was able to redeem my purchase at the box office without any trouble....

Just a terrific show and worth every penny! If you enjoy burlesque, humor, and Cirque du Soleil then this is a must see show. It's only running for a limited time at the Union Square Theater so go...

The theater has a rich history and a glorious past to boast. Built in 1926, this was one of the most profitable theaters for ten straight years. Gradually, with an increase in competition, it lost its grandeur. Yet with its capacity to seat 499 people and its rich heritage, Union Square Theatre is still a great asset to NY.
