Trattoria Oliverii

Appetizers were decent but the Caesar salad was disgusting (watered down dressing with no flavor and soggy greens). Other entrees were only mediocre. Didn't bother ordering dessert. Will never return.

There are lots of Italian restaurants in the Chicago area,but few stand out like Trattoria Oliverii. The food is freshly prepared and served in an intimate setting by a skilled attentive staff. Our group had veal, ravioli, salmon and chicken so we tried a few dishes. The ravioli was stuffed with pumpkin and the salmon had roasted red peppers and pesto sauce. I've been here several times and the food is always good. Last night our server must have been new and service was not the best.
