OMG..how can an almond croissant that comes from the freezer section taste like it came from a Parisienne bakery? Flaky, buttery, full of sweet/almond filling.... Very very clean store, everything is organized and so well kept up, I don't think I've walked into a store that offers so many fresh products at a great price! I do agree with some of the reviewers, however. The store can get packed at times, I guess it's all about patience.

I am a loyal customer of TJ. From southern CA to PA and now here. They have the best products an staffs working in most of their stores. I usually shop at the one in Fremont and their staffs were always great and friendly. Since I moved the one at Castro Valley is nearer to me now. I went there to get a …

This is still my favorite store compared to Safeway or Lucky's. If you come on weekend it is crowded, hard to find parking and long line at checkout. However why 5 star? Employees in this location are always very courteous and helpful and overall they have a good selection of produce and grocery with reasonable price.

Customer service here is great, the store is always stocked up in everything you need and always clean. My kids always look forward to their samples, I found that this is a great way to have them try new foods I w I uld never be able to have them try. The cashiers are always smiling and also very kind. I love this place
