We visted Tio Chinos based on reviews and were not disappointed. The restaurant is on Rosencrans, and attached to a budget motel. It does not look all that promising, but the bar was big, with a lot of choices, especially craft beer, and the food was good. The emphasis is more on mexican than asian, and was overall spicy. We...
Service was great, food delicious, atmosphere friendly, affordable. Caught some unexpected Live music :) the open air patio would be really nice when warm!
Tio Chino is on Rosecrans next to the Hojo Inn and Days Inn. Nice dining room with a covered patio also available. Full bar available. Several small plates, dinners and soups are on the menu. We had asian beef tacos and fish tacos on fresh tortillas. Both were very good.Very good service.

Tio Carlos, this lively and friendly Mexican restaurant has to work hard to overcome an odd location on top of an older motel and next to a busy street, but once visitors find it they come back time and again. The traditional complimentary chips and salsa are so good that you must remind yourself to save room for the entree. Combination plates are popular, such as the Shredded-Beef Taco Plate...
