What the community has to say about The Triple Door Theater & Musicquarium Lounge

Information about this business (2)

The Triple Door, Seattle, WA. 21K likes. Where music comes alive: The Triple Door Mainstage and MQ Stage & Lounge.

The Triple Door is in the building that housed the Embassy Theatre, built in 1926, and a lot of the old decor from the original vaudeville house is still in evidence. The purpose of the Triple Door is to give an experience with the best in sound, lighting, atmosphere, and hospitality. When all of these elements come together, which they do at the Triple Door, it gives the audience something...

Editorial reviews from the web (5)

If you love music and you are tired of standing on concrete floors for hours on end hoping the band might start some day this is the venue for you. The room has full dinner and beverage service plus cushy seating, great sound and unobstructed site lines. They book great acts across genre and from around the country. They also play host to SIFF's Face the Music special events.

Not Recommended for Kids.

High-end jazz venue draws well-heeled crowd. Movers-and-shakers enjoy delicious cocktails, with surprisingly little snobbery amid suits and schmoozing. Appreciative crowds gather for musical performances in beautifully renovated, 1920s-era vaudeville theater. Expect intimate and comfortable seating and a world-class sound system. Upstairs bar—called the "Musicquarium"—is an inviting place to...

Located below Wild Ginger, this former vaudeville theater is beautifully reborn as a classy music venue and cocktail bar.

Popular music for adults? What a concept! This swanky nightclub is a total novelty in the Seattle club world. It isn't geared toward the 20-something crowd. The music is diverse -- from jazz to world beat to flamenco to Maria Muldaur, the Tubes, and Ottmar Liebert. You'll find the club in the basement below the ever-popular Wild Ginger restaurant, across the street from Benaroya Hall.

Just saw Bohemia at the triple Door. Fabulous! I’d never been here before, but I’ll definitely be back. Great food, strong drinks, and the staff are friendly and polite.

The Food and the Shows are always Amazing!

The food, the quality of the shows, and the service staff cannot be beat.

We were very disappointed in the Triple Door tonight. While the artist was phenomenal, the food was far from stellar. We’ve gone to many shows in the past and always found the food to be top notch. Tonight we discovered a totally different menu, lacking some of the favorites from Wild Ginger, our veggies were served cold and the dessert menu was lacking (why would you remove the chocolate...

I have been to and covered more shows there than any room in town. Hands down, The Triple Door is my personal favorite. It is elegant and lovely. You have a live venue with a multi leveled theater style seating and private table. You also get the sound quality of a recording studio. This is attributed to having one of the top sound persons in the biz and a state of the art lighting and sound...

Happy Hour

The Musicquarium offers one of the best happy hours downtown, with $3 drinks and $3-$5 appetizers (daily 4pm-6pm; Sun-Thu 10pm-12am).

Save Money

All live shows are piped--with crystal clarity--into the bar. Although there's occasionally a cover for the bar, most nights, it's free.

On the Menu

The Asian-inspired menu comes from Wild Ginger. Food can be ordered in the Musicquarium or before shows on the mainstage.

What to Drink

Try a drink from the long list of specialty cocktails, like the Perfect Zen, made with Grey Goose vodka, sake and muddled cucumber.
