This funky venue takes you back to when radio was king and the theater was the cultural center of town.

Decent view anywhere you stood. Sound was great. Drink prices weren't too bad. They let you have reentry if you want to go smoke outside.

I've been to several shows at the Lincoln Theater. This venue has the potential for greatness, but I have to deduct a few stars for the very poor sound quality I've endured during the last few shows.…

Tips about this business (2)

Where to Sit

Due to the tiered, open layout of the room, there's really no bad spot during a show at the Lincoln; with a capacity of 550, the party is capable of growing to mythic proportions. The acoustics are pretty solid, and the vibe is definitely laid-back.

Parking

The small, paved parking lot on the corner of Wilmington and Cabarrus is an "honor pay" parking lot: Pay for a parking pass and put it on your dash--or your car will be towed.
