After the economy took a turn for the worst I thought the ONLY hope for my family was to file bankruptcy. I wanted to ensure I had it paid for just in case I didn’t have the money when it came time to file. So I paid in full, $2925.00 to be exact, which I now realize was a mistake. My wife and I sat with Richard Freedman for a little over an hour to get the paperwork to take home to fill out. As time passed we found jobs and began talking with our mortgage co and credit cards and found other ways to resolve our debt without having to file bankruptcy and save our home. I asked Richard Freedman for our money back minus what he charges per hour for his time. I was honestly thinking maybe $200 per hour. Well to my surprise he sent me a $425 check, and basically charged me $2,500 for an hour of his time. All I asked of him was to charge me for the time he invested and do the right and honorable thing and give me my money back. But unfortunately that isn’t what he did, instead he chose to rob a family of money they needed, money I need to care for my wife and 4 children. I would strongly NEVER recommend Richard Freedman in any circumstance, to anyone!! Hid didn’t stand by what his agreement that I signed says, which is and I quote “The base attorney’s fee for the filing of bankruptcy is $2,500.” He NEVER filed bankruptcy for us. The agreement also states, “All attorneys’ fees paid have been earned upon receipt by the attorney.” So do you think he honestly earned $2500.00 for the time he gave?? My family certainly doesn’t!!
