Second time visiting this restaurant and it remains one of my favs in LA for an intimate meal. New chef this time, but the food is every bit as good.
Our server was very sweet and had good recommendations on the menu. He was attentive without being annoying. The entree's were good, but nothing special (excpet for the arugula side salad - amazing dressing). The desserts, however, were so good!

It's "not fancy or exotic", but this Hollywood grill turns out "classic" American fare that's "sensational" nonetheless in a "charming" Craftsman setting that "feels like you're dining in a friend's home"; "gracious" service, midrange tabs and a "relaxing" atmosphere mean most "never have a bad meal here"; P.S. The wine list is impressive for a small place; selections include many from California but also Italian Proseccos, New Zealand Sauv Blancs and Spanish Albarinos. A small amount of beer is available as well, including Stella and Chimay.
There are a handful of spaces available in the small lot in front of the restaurant. Otherwise, you'll need to search for street parking. Be sure to note all neighborhood restrictions--there are a lot of time limits and meters around.
