This glamorous nightspot sports smart, contemporary design and a global tapas menu designed for sharing. The food here is the best of any served by dance clubs pulling double duty as restaurants. It's compact in size and has a smoking patio directly across the street from Horton Plaza. Open Tuesday to Saturday 5pm to 2am; happy hour (5-7pm) is a good way to sample the food.

Hip downtown loft restaurant is cool by association to celebs, a locally renowned chef and top DJs spinning into the wee hours.

Local hunk and ex-Bachelor Andrew Firestone's name gets thrown around often as a major investor in this Gaslamp haunt, even though his face is rarely seen in the dining room. It makes no matter to...

The location was ideal since I was going to Balboa Theater to check out some live theater and the Lincoln Room sits kitty-corner.

The inside is made to look like a hip log cabin (hence Lincoln) with booth and table seating along with a dance floor/party area on a second floor.

My friend and I arrived around 5 which is happy hour and the deals were pretty good with discounted drinks and a $5...

Business description (2)

This hotspot offers upscale dining during the days and amps up the volume during the evening to offer folks one heck of a party in San Diego's Gaslamp district. Andrew Firestone, the tire company heir and reality TV star, is an investor and will be a normal patron at this bar. They expect celebrity sightings to be rather frequent here.

The word's out on Confidential. It's one of the best tapas houses in the city. The menu is an eclectic sort that includes foods from across the world. Delectable cocktails rotate with the seasons. A trendy interior features exposed brick walls and white leather booths that occasionally shelter celebrities. Red and blue lights accent the basic interior, and DJs set a low-key vibe.

Tips about this business (3)

Know Before You Go

The menu is served until 2am, but the main dining room develops more of a lounge feel after midnight.

What to Drink

Light, fun signature cocktails like the Satsuma cosmopolitan and cactus flower margarita don't disappoint.

Where to Sit

The upstairs lounge appears off limits, but all it takes is a request to your server for an escort to a table above.
