This sexy, minimalist gem on the northern edge of Little Italy has one of the best shows in town. From its very cool interior patio, you can almost touch the planes as they come roaring in for a landing at nearby Lindbergh Field. Keeping to the theme, bartenders are in pilots' uniforms, and waitresses are in classic flight attendant miniskirts. Open Thursday to Saturday 8pm to 2am; dinner is...

Exclusive retro lounge hyped for swank decor, innovative airport location and top local DJs.

In Short
Austin Powers would feel right at home in the low circular booths, shag carpeting and all-white, mod-style interior of this sleek, unmarked lounge perched on a hill just above...

It would help if the gate agents would speak up

We had an ok experience here, it was easy to get to our gate and the airport is small enough that you do not have to hike 7 miles to get to your gate. I agree there is not enough food options and the price for bottled water was way too high ($3.99 for a 1 liter and $2.80 for...

Not a pleasant atmosphere

Currently sitting in Terminal 2 waiting for my flight. Thought I would write a review as there's nothing to do here! No shops, one restaurant with overpriced food and a bit of a building site around me. The chairs are very scruffy- no where nice to sit. The toilets are awful..most of them dirty and very old fashioned with no...

Disappointing Airport Experience

I can't say I disagree with the other reviewers. The food selection, or lack thereof, made our preflight wait at the airport less than pleasant. We were told that food selections were limited due to airport renovation. Needless to say they were limited to pizza and over priced sandwich selections. If you're a vegetarian or allergic to nuts, you'll be...

RIPPED OFF

Just got back from San Diego. I did a hotel review but left out our horrible experience at the airport. We had a 5pm flight so figured we could get supper at the airport. To our surprise there is crappy pizza and expensive sandwiches. Being a diabetic there was absolutly nothing for me to eat. We had a coffee and...

Food and Drink Rip Off

In the terminal for Southwest airlines there is very little choice for food. Compare this to an airport like Midway in Chicago that has many great establishments like Harry Caray's and Potbelly Sandwiches to name a couple. You have the choice of a tuna, turkey or ham sandwich preboxed not fresh, at a highway robbery price. People around me complained...

Business description (2)

Airport Lounge has an atmosphere inspired by flying including small television sets. The menu features international cuisine including Indochine beef skewers and croquetas de Cuba. Drink menu includes specialty cocktails and wine from around the world.

Airport Lounge boasts a, you guessed it, airport theme. The interior has sloping, white walls with computerized lighting that projects images of plane windows. Servers wear stylish flight attendant suits and pilot uniforms, while back-of-the-house folks don the orange jumpsuits worn by those flagging planes in at airports. An outdoor patio provides for lounging during cooperative weather....

Tips about this business (4)

Parking

Beware of loiterers near the freeway overpass. Safest bet is to park in a Little Italy lot a few blocks back and hoof it.

Know Before You Go

Though it ranked among the ultra-exclusive spots when it first opened with a strict guest list only policy, now just it's a line and a cover charge like everwhere else.

The Extras

The bar's patio is directly in the flight path of Lindberg Field. Every two minutes or so, a 757 swoops overhead. Loud, but cool.

Look Good

Ask about free limo service on Fridays to and from the W Hotel.
