Corner Bakery is a pretty average to above average place. The food is good, not wow. I've heard the pastries are really good, but haven't had a chance to try them. Service is quick and polite, but each time I've gone I've noticed the cashiers are pretty chatty with each other. They're young kids so pretty typical. And of course parking at UTC can be tough.

Corner Bakery Cafe is part of a chain with about 170 locations nationwide including at least three in the San Diego area. Besides sandwiches and salads, they also have fresh baked bread for sale that you pass on the way to the register. I really wanted a panini that day.
