The plan for a new Target store location should have had additional research. Very conjested area. They should have laid the store out with checkouts serving particular areas (grocery). He is an approach I would take as a strategic location planner. Put the idea out there first and allow time for people in the area to comment on pros and cons. The people living in the community clearly understand what obstacles move them from one store versus another. This would be better than a focus group. Let people drive some ideas that will keep from having disappointments later that could cut...

Target's New Super Store in Gastonia

I visited the new store to check out their grocery section, hoping they would be competitive with Walmart; however, the first thing I realized was that I had to walk the entire width of the store to get to the grocery section. Second, there is no special check out area and exit on that end of the store. So I had to walk all the way back to the main entrance. They sould have the checkouts in the center of the store....not on one end only. Too much walking for me. My feet and legs won't stand up to all the walking.

The grocery section was not as good as I expected it to be.

Cannot return without a reciept. We did our registry their and we recieved 2 and 3 of some things. Your registry is good for a certain time slot. we were niot aware of. We signed up early and 4 days after the party we could not return anything! Time ran out last night at midnight.??????
