If you're a tourist and would like to experience SD's good eats, make sure that you put Tacos El Gordo on the top of your list. You know it's good when even the locals come from everywhere to enjoy it. Good food and good people.

This place does some amazing tacos for only $2 each. I had several but the adobada was the most amazing. They also have tripe, beef tongue, beef head and chorizo tacos.

A little pricy, but this taco shop might be the closest thing to T.J tacos you'll probably find in Chula Vista. Try this location's burritos, which comes with rice and beans for 5 bucks. Gets the job done! Still too pricey for tacos though...

If you haven't tried an infamous "Street Taco" yet, you must definitely come here. The closest thing to the tacos they serve down in Mexico, right here in the US!!!

Authentic Mexican and generous portions. A regular stop for me, love the pork dishes. Lot of competitors out there but this place wins out for me.
