San Diego's Perfect Pint

My wife and I adore this place--we're there at least once a week. Great food, friendly barstaff, chill crowd.

Stout Public House Restaurant Review

Stout Public House is a fun, energetic spot in the Gaslamp Quarter that serves both traditional Irish fare and American classics with a wide selection of good beers. For a taste of Ireland, enjoy bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, Guinness stew, shepherd’s pie and chicken potpie, and a traditional Irish breakfast --- two eggs, imported Irish sausages, rashers, black and white pudding,...

One of the few watering holes in Downtown's Core District keeps it casual with a pub-style bar and game day specials.

The food here is really really good. It's not just standard pub fare includes delicious ateak, shepherds pie, fish n chips, and flavorful salads. They also ALWAYS get my to go orders right. I know that seems like a small thing, but it's rare and amazing. Eat here! And maybe get a drink too, I guess. But definitely eat!

It's a bar.The tomato basil soup is the best I've ever had.

Friendly bar, plenty of space, but I was not particularly impressed with the beer selection. Maybe it was wishful thinking to hope they'd have a wide selection of local beers...instead the menu struck me as a pretty standard set of beers.Staff was friendly, minus the irritating Guinness promotional people working the room. The dinner menu looked fair, but I can't vouch for the actual taste.

The bartender Mark was awsome. We had a great time.We chatted up a few of the regulars, had a few pints.I had the calamari it was fantastic.Shannon had the Shepard's Pie.It was good but not Irish. All in all we had a great time.I would recommend you go there.
