There was an evening concert with a military band one evening. Very nice and friendly. The center of the park as a large gazebo where the band was set up

Nothing outstanding here! OK for families and kids who dont need
a lot of facilities. Parking can be challenging. Not worth a special trip.

Nice park in the center of the island. Public concerts and events during the summer, great change of pace when on vacation to kick back with others and enjoy.
NOT a pet friendly park, signs everywhere. Understandable, who wants to sprawl out on your blanket for concert night and dodge the piles left by the D-bag owners who are not...

My favorite park in San Diego is on Coronado Island. It is the setting for art shows, concerts, and lazy summer picnic days. The children's playground is exciting, interesting, and safe. Parents actually supervise their own children and join in the fun. The Catholic church across the street offers visitors a place of worship on Saturday at 5 and Sunday...

Spreckles park is great. A lot of grass areas to where you can play with your kids, have a picnic, etc. More than enough opportunity for shade if you are worried about the sun. Great location
