Disappointed. Felt crammed and missing all the little details. I had to ask for slippers and the attention to detail Spa Universaire has been synonymous with is gone.
Anya (Anna?) was absolutely amazing. I half expected a light, "fufu" spa massage but this was anything but! I had just run a 1/2 Marathon, was feeling pretty tight and not so great. This massage was just what I needed. I will be back to this spa just to visit this massage therapist, she was wonderful!
The spa was more like a couple of closets that had tried to be converted into a spa. the environment was not relaxing and was so small it was uncomfortable to be there. The couples massage my husband and I signed up for was not relaxing or enjoyable at all! My massage therapist was HORRIBLE! It was the worst massage I have ever had. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE!!!!

The spa is in a hotel, so I guess they are slung the best they can wit the space they have, however, upon arrival you sit down on an uncomfortable couch with everyone busy around you. Discover the art of the spa experience at Spa Universaire. This beautiful Spa is conveniently located in the heart of the Golden Triangle Museum District. A total of nine treatment rooms are individually designed to honor cultures from around the world.
10 spa rooms recreate 10 different cultures from around the world. Guests can choose between rooms like the Taj Mahal, Aztec or Rocky Mountain room as well as enjoy treatments such as the Shiatsu massage or the Dead Sea salt glow. Spa packages are available for half-day or full-day retreats. Custom packages are offered for those who have something specific in mind.
Parking: Only five spots in the lot are designated as Spa Universaire spots, so make sure to check for the blue signage.
Massage: The 60-minute Swedish Stress Relieving Massage uses palm pressure and slow, long horizontal strokes gliding across the whole body to relieve muscle tension and promote relaxation.
Facials: The Elemental Nature Facial is a personalized treatment based on responses to a questionnaire. It is designed to reduce pores, lines and wrinkles without compromising the integrity of the skin.
