This is a cramped, little, DRY (as in no alcohol!!), hot venue. It reminds me of an all-ages venue back home in Ohio that featured hardcore bands and was located in the 'hood. The sound and...

I've been to quite a few shows in my lifetime. Sometimes you find awesome venues that will bring you back, and sometimes you find ones who could have resurrected Tupac and you still wouldn't show....

The reviews did scare me a bit, I had no idea what to expect. From what you read, it is a packed, sweltering, mosh pit with people who bite. I came here Monday night for a Milky Chance/X...

Business description (6) view all

Soma is located at 3350 Sports Arena Blvd I in San Diego and has been in the business of Nonresidential Building Operators since 2004.

Soma can be found at Sports Arena Blvd 3350. The following is offered: Theater. The entry is present with us since Sep 9, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 14, 2013. In San Diego there are 8 other Theater. An overview can be found here.

After being out of commission for a brief period, this all-ages venue is back in an old cineplex. Many punk rock and hardcore bands have gotten their start here. Bands have the opportunity to put on shows for the populace, and the bands drawing crowds larger than 80 to 100 people get the opportunity to open for national acts.

The combination of live music and zero alcohol makes for a good time for people of all ages, and a true appreciation for the artists that perform here evolves as a result. The cover charge is low and the space expansive, but without seating. It's mosh-pit style listening. SOMA has been going strong since the 1980s.

Legendary all ages punk, indie and hardcore concert venue.
