Great place to grab a bite to eat for locals and newbies visiting the area. Even on a busy weekend they were bale to accommodate our group of 5. Very, very generous portions. I got the pork and crab special which came with 3 large pieces of meat stuffed with crab. On top of that the side of mashed potatoes could have been a meal itself. If you're in the Ironbound this is one of the places to eat. The food is always good and the price is right. The staff is always nice too. They're lobster is great and they're steaks are great too.

Located in a prime shopping district, Sol-Mar Restaurant offers a variety of American and ethnic cuisine. Here you can order dishes such as the Presunto com Melao, an appetizer that consists of smoked ham with melon, or the Peito de Franco, an entree of chicken breast smothered in mushrooms. The atmosphere is old world elegance and the staff is courteous and friendly.

This place is great. The best atmosphere, the food is like no other. I eat here as often as I can. Definetly the best in the city.
