Worst Staff and Managment

I was out on a Saturday and stopped at Soho with some friends. When I handed my ID to the door guy he was fooling around and gestured with his arm like a moron and my ID flipped out of his hand. My friends and I looked everywhere for it but could not find it. The door guy said to go talk to his manager and the manger was even more unprofessional and rude than the door guy. He first made a comment that if it was a fake that was my fault. I assured him it wasn't then he said "I can't believe I got pulled away from the bar for this. it didn't even happen in my bar so who cares!" He wouldn't even talk to me about the situation and the door guy that chucked my ID denied to his boss that he even did anything. I understand that mistakes happen but it was the way that the management handled the situation that really irked me. Now my ID is somewhere on 6th street and anybody could have picked it up. Do not go to this bar unless you want to be treated like some worthless human being even though your only goal is to go spend money at there bar so they can make money! Horrible customer service and beyond unprofessional!

Irrepressibly hip East Sixth Street bar the high ceilings and ultraviolet lighting.

In Short
Beautiful people mingle against a musical background of throbbing techno--with an occasional classic rock interlude thrown in for good measure. The dance floor upstairs gets...

The Doorman Hit a Girl

Average Rating

2-10-12. Really? 6th St. can get boisterious and fun on a friday night, but when a establishment allows their employees to drink on the job; you should expect the worst.. The same doorman I saw pounding shots, got in 2 different fights and both times it was completely obvious he was instigating them. I guess he had his adrenaline running or whatever BS excuse, but a innocent college girl ran up and asked him to ""please stop fighting!"".. He quoted, ""shut up, b****,"" and punched this innocent girl in the jaw for no reason!! He really hurt her. This a**hole belongs in prison.

Horrible Service

Was overcharged originally on my debit card, asked to see an itemized receipt and was refused. Then later the originally fraudulent amount was doubled after the charge posted to my account. I was told two different prices for the same drink. Even the manager was no help and threw me out for telling him I would dispute it with my card company. Do not go.

Yelp

There's really nothing great or terrible I can say about Soho. The drinks were okay, the bartenders were polite, and the atmosphere was nothing to write home about. All things considered, the place…

Yelp

Last weekend, the bouncer rejected a two-time NFL Pro Bowler and member of the state's beloved 2005 NCAA championship team. Evidently, his "shoes were red" and his *fitted* v-neck was "too long".…

Yelp

You might think this is a bias review since I used to work as a photographer here and knows the manager and owner, but I've always liked Soho. The bouncer is called "Swayze" because he looks exactly…

Soho Lounge is located at 217 E 6th St, Austin, TX. This location is in the Downtown neighborhood. This business specializes in Bars, Pubs, & Clubs.

One of the classiest bars on Sixth Street, this long, narrow bar lets you sit and gaze at passers-by or fellow patrons. The lighting is extremely attractive, generating a genuine New York feel. You will enjoy sitting in one of the high-arched cushioned booths and catching glances of fellow patrons from the mirrored walls. The bar has an excellent music selection. If it is not too busy, play a...
