In 1979, at the height of the California outdoor skate craze, Janice Phillips & Bob Orlowski brought outdoor rollerskating to Atlanta, GA. Equipped with precision bearings and soft urethane wheels, rollerskates flew off the rental shelves at a prime location across from Piedmont park.

Skate Escape is a skating and biking shop located near Piedmont Park, the most popular spot for skating in Atlanta. The shop offers bikes and skates for sale or rent, as well as accessories for riding and skating. A deposit is required if an in-state driver's license or credit card is not available. This is the perfect place to start an afternoon of outdoor fun.
