This is a beautiful area to park your RV, great views and sunsets. However I can only give this a 3 and warn if you have a big rig ..... they are not big rig friendly. We have a 40 footer and...

It costs $10 to park, and the beach is covered in sea weed. Coronado municipal beach is much nicer and cleaner

This is my favorite beach in SD. Never over crowded and you can walk for miles. I go there every time I vacation in SD.

Camping a frustrating experience on a beautiful beach

This beach now has camping. Apparently it's a newer feature, although I'm not from the area...just heard someone say it. The beach is beautiful and Coronado Island is gorgeous. We rented bikes and had a good time exploring the area and San Diego.
For a state park it was quite expensive... about twice as much per night as Oregon state...
