Dr. Shannon did two surgeries on my husband, neither of which helped at all. He put him on insanely high pain meds, got in trouble for having him on such high meds, then changed his prescription from a 20 day to a 30 at the end of the 20 days, which left him with no meds for 10 days. I would have never had the surgery, except he was so confidant & promised me that I would be able to walk better. My walking is worse since the surgery. When it was evident I wasn't going to improve, he said I needed to follow up with a pain specialist, which I was already seeing. He had no other suggestions.

All I can tell anyone that reads this is that I could not finish teaching my classes by the end of the school day without ridiculous pain. I had to do something... I was told Dr. Shannon was a no nonsense Dr. .... If he can fix the problem he will tell you... if he can't, he will tell you. They were right... he was informative and friendly. Dr. Shannon is fully honest and explains the condition and treatment very well. He has many years of experience and is completely reputable as a neurosurgeon.
