A small race just for women! All ages and levels welcomed and encouraged. It was fun and they had raffles and other fun things to do. I enjoyed it.

Nice place for swimming and sunning on the beach

This place is close to Pleasanton Downtown and has a nice beach and play area for kids. It can get crowded during summer weekends but is otherwise a good place to swim and get wet in the water and also to have family picnics.

A haven for swimming and fishing can be found at Shadow Cliffs, only a mile from downtown Pleasanton on Stanley Boulevard. Shadow Cliffs, formerly a gravel quarry, was donated to the Park District by Kaiser Industries, and its assessed value of $250,000 was used to obtain a matching grant for development of the park from the U.S. Bureau of Outdoor Recreation.
