In Short
Outside, it's chaos: Whether for lunch or for dinner, throngs of people line up at this landmark neighborhood eatery, often sited as the first shabu-shabu restaurant in all of...
I love this place. Been here for more than ten years. They have great beef, and great sauce. The photos shown here seem wrong. This place only have counter seat surrounding servers and a man who slices beef (he has worked here since my first visit). I came early this time to avoid one-hour long queue. It's worth waiting though.
1)Shabu Shabu house was once my favorite hotpot joints. not anymore.
2)They setup a lot of rules. No texting, no pictures, CASH only. Each dish is now 23.89 plus tax plus tip.
3)a few years ago this joint is super decent and clean. Now it's..... needs renovation boss.
4)once you started putting ingredients into the hotpots and you want to...
At this restaurant you sit at the counter and have your own little cooking pot. They only take cash but this place was really fun! There was a line to get in.

i walked in here for dinner on a friday night at 630pm. it was quiet - i had fast service. first time i've had shabu shabu before, so my waiter walked me through the hot pot process. i'd love to eat here again.

Eating places
Know Before You Go: Arrive early or during off-peak hours to avoid what can sometimes be an hour or two wait. At lunch, there's usually no host taking names; instead, write yours on the clipboard by the door. Either way, make sure you listen closely for your name to be called--if they call it and you're not there, you will lose your turn and you will have to sign up again.
Save Money: Consider visiting during lunch, when orders are almost identical to those available at dinnertime, but less expensive.
The Extras: Consider taking your meal to go. It's not the same experience, but you can order sweetened Kanro beef, only available on to-go orders.
