This "popular" Portuguese seafooder in Newark's Ironbound nabe "stands out" from the competition thanks to "delicious", "hearty" dishes served in "huge portions" ("come hungry"); though the setting's a bit dinerlike, it's "highly recommended" by locals and there's "free parking" to boot.

Will never come back here again even if you paid me. Clams casino and shrimp appetizer was cold and bland. After waiting 5 hours to get our apps, I ordered some dish that was a souplike dish and the description of the dish did not sound like what I got. It looked like a plate of vomit. I returned the meal to one of the servers and I got the impression that I would get the dinner taken off since...

Amazing I was trying to leave a truthful review and unless I clicked the link that says I would recommend this place it wouldn’t let me leave a review. Tells you what kind of place this is. Food was good, but service horrible!!!!’ Waiter extremely rude because we simply asked about the bill. It was pure chicken scratch and only numbers nothing listed so you had no idea what you were paying...

Concentrating on a contemporary Portuguese fare an emphasis on seafood, this is a fine dining establishment. Expect the average entrée to cost over $20, and dress business casual.

Atmosphere: The restaurant has a modern décor. The restaurant is contemporary and relaxed and frequented by a trendy crowd. Table talk is no problem - noise level here is moderate.
