Who says you have to go to Italy to get great Italian food?! I would
have to give 2 thumbs up for the bruschetta! Excellent waiter
and we were entertained by the singing chef!

Sazio's has become "the place" for our family celebrations, while at
the same time being a great place for dinner any night. No one I know
has ever had a bad meal here, and I can honestly say that we have
tried every item on the menu! If you get the chance to have their
special, Lobster and pasta with a tomato cream sauce, DO IT! It was
fabulous. Also, be sure to try the tiramisu!!!

Don't be fooled by the exterior, this is a hidden gem.
The interior has the feel of a northbeach restaurant.
The food is excellent. Very light with great variety.
Service is excellent. Not cheap, but worth the price.

Given the exterior, I didn?t think reservations would be necessary.

That was a mistake; we had to wait about a half hour to be seated
on a Sunday night. The owner, Antonio, seems responsible for
everything from maitre d? to busboy, with only one other waitperson
to help him. Because they were so short-handed, service was slow.

Actually I would rate this 3 1/2 stars....the food is very good
with my favorite being the veal dishes....their veal saltimboca
is as good as any I've had in the east bay....I think the pasta
dishes are mixed...the canneloni is ok (but I'm comparing
it to the canneloni served at Le Cocos on Piedmont Ave in Oakland)..I
don't know why they serve mashed potatoes with the entres....I
would have...
