The food is good enough, just a little pricy for what you get. They have live music some nights, but it is hard to imagine a band squeezing into the cramped space that is the dining room.

I walked in, and slammed a crumbled mass of money on a table, announcing "I need sustenance!" The server returned, hoisting a bucket filled with many variations of deliciously prepared sea life on to the table and tipped it over. I proceeded to engorge myself on all the creatures contained in the food pail. Sand crab tavern gets 4 out of 5 crab claws.

I have been eating here for 18 years and the quality of the seafood has been mostly good. The quantity for the price fluctuates from visit to visit.
The king crab was very good in my King Crab Combo but there were only 3 1/2 medium legs and six shrimp of course there was corn, potato and sausage but for $42 I expected more seafood.
It seems like a roll of the dice every time we come back.

Great place for families or groups. Getting that huge bowl of seafood poured on to the table.. my mouth is watering now!
