Yoshino's Restaurant Review

Old-fashioned Japanese food, by California standards, is what Yoshino’s does best. Kimono-clad waitresses serve hot Jasmine tea and miso soup. We like to drop in for a plate of hot tempura or a few yakitori skewers before making our way up the hill into Hillcrest for a night on the town. Sushi is available, but it’s not the real draw. Saffron has been offering inventive and fresh, tasty Thai food for many years! They are famous for their grilled chicken, and they offer healthy, homey soups and noodles with vegetables not found elsewhere.
However, they are located in an eclectic part of town, on a dead-end street with limited parking. This is the only drawback.
