What the community has to say about Sadaf

Information about this business (1)

Sadaf is a great place if you are looking for Persian restaurant with a laid back hookah lounge, great food and great drink specials (like $1 Kamikaze shots). We recently returned to Sadaf Restaurant in the Gaslamp District in San Diego - both times using a Groupon. Again, we were treated to mouth watering taste treats!! We ordered the Sadaf Salad and Chicken Shish Kabobs. They both were perfectly seasoned in the Persian way, as well as very large portions-more than enough for two to share. Both times...

Best dolma (stuffed grape leaves) and eggplant appetizer ever! Heavenly! The recipes are well executed and the ingredients taste like they are fresh and of good quality. Huge portions. On a Friday night they should have been much busier. The photo shown here on TripAdvisor is not of this restaurant; this restaurant comes off as rather tawdry. Sitting inside, we...

I preface this with the fact that I'm not any connieseur of Mediterranean or Middle Eadtern food, but having tried somenear Fort Worth recently, I gave this place a shot. Although stuck amongst a bunch of run of the mill bars, this place should stand out. It wasn't too busy at 4 pm, but I'm happy I stopped in.

Business description (2)

Offering the finest Royal Persian cuisine.

The spicy aroma wafting out the door only hints at the delicious taste of the Persian food inside—and it is all the more enjoyable being low in fat and cholesterol. At Sadaf, the hands-down favorite is the Sadaf Special, which includes tender chunks of filet mignon, chicken and white fish on a bed of rice or saffron. The dinner prices are modest for the bustling Gaslamp location. It is an ideal...
