What the community has to say about Rudyard's British Pub

Information about this business (3)

Rudyard's is a British Pub located in the heart of Houston. Inside the pub you will find a great atmosphere and a friendly staff. The bar offers great drinks and there is a daily happy hour. The pub also provides a large menu for customers to choose from. Rudyard's is an authentic British Pub that customers keep coming back to.

Right in the heart of the Montrose lies Rudyard's Pub - beloved neighborhood bar, celebrated live-music landmark, and home of the Rudz Burger. ""Where else in Houston could you see Valient Thorr, eat a near-orgasmic cheeseburger (seriously, it's kinda sexy), watch the Rockets on the tube and play a game of drunkenly dangerous darts all in the same night? Rudyard's, that's where! Located just...

Rudyard's British Pub is a Houston institution with 30 years of serving up an excellent selection of beers, ales and ciders on tap. Enjoy a pick-up game of darts downstairs or live, local music most nights upstairs. While you're waiting for the band upstairs, play some pool or enjoy one of the best fresh burgers with tater tots in town out on the patio. And there's no friendlier place to do it...

Editorial reviews from the web (2)

There's plenty of parking for this popular pub. There are plenty of beers, and the food is pretty decent, too. Try the fish tacos - seriously!

This funky Montrose institution is a great place to see local and touring bands, mostly of the indie-rock persuasion.

The Scene
The downstairs bar is well-stocked with local brews, imports and cocktails, including ever-popular Colorado microbrew Fat Tire. The jukebox is fantastic and so is the comic...

Love Rudyard's

Interesting Brit!. Interesting Pub, with a very good selection of Brews, but the food is marginal or much worse. The Rudz burger is definitely NOT worth the price, is just ok, but the frozen fries detract. The breakfast tacos are awful and the accompanying black beans are absolutely inedible. Go for the brewskies and eat elsewhere.

Where else in Houston could you see Valient Thorr, eat a near-orgasmic cheeseburger (seriously, it’s kinda sexy), watch the Rockets on the tube and play a game of drunkenly dangerous darts all in the same night? Rudyard’s, that’s where! Located just off Waugh in the Montrose and amidst town homes and sketchy backstreets, its charm isn’t manufactured or pre-packaged like all the other corporate...

Guests enjoy the atmosphere of a British pub, complete with historic memorabilia. Comedy is featured on Tuesday evenings.

Rudyards downstairs is a great, casual neighborhood bar & grill specializing in craft beer, whiskeys and freshly prepared menu selections. Upstairs one of Houston's most celebrated live music venues for original rock performances is located. Dart leagues, monthly beer & food pairing dinners and spoken word presentations are some of the other regular events enjoyed by our patrons.

Know Before You Go

The smallish tables are rather close together and the space can get pretty crowded, so stake out your rump-shaking space early.
