This upscale steakhouse serves lunch and dinner at both the Chop House and Kabin Kruser's Oyster Bar located upstairs. Steaks dominate the menu, the heftiest option being the 22-ounce charbroiled bone-in rib-eye served with a zippy sauce.…

First time here for Easter brunch. Great food, great service. Definetly will return again.
In years past we have been to other resturants for holiday brunches. At the other places we were smashed in, rushed eating, and stood in long lines for food. NOT here....

Nice, upscale atmosphere. The service was excellent and food was very good. It is more pricey than the other restaurants owned by the same chain. My husband and I both had seafood, even though this is more of a steakhouse, and we were very happy...

We had never been to Rochester and read great reviews of this restaurant. We went during happy hour and ordered Prince Edward Island mussels for $7 and the lobster bisque soup. Couldn’t believe there were at least 2 dozen mussels! The diablo sauce which consisted...

Best Restaurants, Steakhouses: A good option for a special occasion, Rochester Chop House is just as skilled with seafood as it is with steaks. If you're going for the former, the lobster-and-shrimp panroast is wonderful, as is salmon Lawrence, with its splash of saffron cream and asparagus side. If beef is your choice, go light with a 6-oz. tenderloin, or treat yourself to a 22-oz. bone-in...

Molly Abraham, Detroit News Restaurant Critic : The cozy restaurant in the heart of downtown Rochester has been a hit from the start in the early '90's, generally considered the town's best. Its series of rooms begins with the casual oyster bar in front and the more formal dining room in the back in an arched, bricked-walled and mirrored setting on two levels. Each room has its own menu. One or...
