This is the best italian I have had in South Florida. And, I recently had dinner at Scarpetta at the Fountenbleu....and I still hold this high regard for Bova. My favorites that I rotate among each of my visits: rigatoni short rib (it has an amazing brocollini green sauce that is out of this world), risotto mantecato (wonderfully creamy risotto with thin slices of steak), pasta bolognese. At the Las Olas location. We dined there several weeks ago. Everyone's steak was overcooked. I sent back my filet and then they undercooked it. I didn't send that one back as everyone was already done with dinner at the table. The server was obnoxious as was the general manager. There are much better restaurants in Ft Lauderdale for this kind of money. Avoid at all costs. I have never felt so...

Food previously was very good,now just ordinary. Decor is absolutely gorgeous. The service has gone down hill. Not attentive, not responsive, not accurate, and worst of all, not caring. If they would get their act together, it could become a stand out eating place.

What a shame!!! Recently (6/09) featuring a $21.95 3-course dinner, but unfortunately the great food and decor is ruined by being vigorously rushed.

Two things keep this attractive, contemporary Federal Highway address hopping each night: fabulous "Nouvo Classico" Italian fare and a seductive bar scene that attracts many of Boca's best and brightest. Featured mains include shrimp saltimboca, snapper arosta, and wood-fired rotisserie chicken with gorgonzola-polenta cake.
