They had a good selection of bread, noodles, teas, meat and veggies. The customer service are always smiling and approachable. Other good thing is the price is right!
The employee was terminated because the company has a policy of not allowing employees chase down shoplifters or robbers. They do not want to put their employees in harms way because of liability and protection of employees. If the purse snatcher had a gun they could of shot that employee. It was a stupid move on the employees part. Good job on Randalls for enforcing company policy.
On 7/28/09 an employee at the above Randalls market was terminated because, get this, he helped a woman whose purse had been snatched. The employee saw the crime occur and went after the teen. The boy dropped the purse and the employee was able to return it to the woman. He also gave police a description of the perp which allowed them to find and arrest him. Instead of being rewarded for his heroic efforts, Randalls fired him citing company policy. If this makes you as mad as it has made many Austinites, please call their corporate office at 713-268-3692. BOYCOTT RANDALLS. They SUCK!!!
