Project Wildlife is a non-profit volunteer organization of San Diego County. All types of wild land and sea birds, and land mammals can be helped by Project Wildlife.
I contacted animal patrol at 10:4pm 08/15/15 it wasn't even an hr later they had come and picked up the baby bird my cat decided to bring home. So lucky to have programs like this. When everyone told me they wouldn't show they did. The baby was much too dependent to be by itself. Even if later the bird needs to be put down it's done humanely and not by another vicious animal. Thank you so much...
I surrendered a hawk that had an injured wing back in June of 2013 that lived on my property. It was healthy at the time of surrender but could not fly. They claimed that they would release it in it's normal home habitat. When they asked for money I submitted that I would donate upon successful release at its home. I can only imagine that they were unsuccessful. I have never gotten a notice or...
I've rescued a very tiny baby bird, and a young opossum that had been attacked by a dog. What a relief to have had Project Wildlife to take them to. Otherwise, I would have had to watch them die (or drown them which my neighbor suggested...). PW does great work. Some people leave nasty comments because they didn't like the way Project Wildlife handled their specific situation. These people...
We went hiking and came across this.baby bird with its eyes closed. We called the humane society and they directed us to project wildlife... just left project wildlife and hopefully it has a.chance at life!!! They acted quickly and confident it will have the best chance and care..... i learned it needs care.every 15 mins from sunrise to sundown.... praying for u birdy... thank you project...
They had cages with heating pads underneath so the animals can stay warm......I had to drop off a baby house finch yesterday and they took it in, no hassle or worries smile emoticon
