What the community has to say about Presidio Recreation Center

Information about this business (1)

Considered by many to be the West Coasts' Plymouth Rock, this park offers over 50 acres nestled on a hill over looking Mission Bay, San Diego Bay, Mission Valley and the Pacific Ocean. The Serra Museum educates and excites visitors with the park history and San Diego's past. Presidio Park is a horticultural cornucopia, flourishing with native and non-native species. All this can be observed...

Like the other reviewer said, nothing here for very young children. It is great though for elementary students studying California history. They can see the statue of Father Serra, the outline of the old presidio, and the Serra Museum. There is a beautiful arbor that is great for
parties. You can visit both the park and Old Town in one...

It is really pretty surroundings. We went up there to take photos when I was in a friends wedding. Another friend also went up there and had pictures taken of him & his daughter.

This review is for the park itself. TripAdvisor has another listing for the Serra Museum in the park, and I have reviewed that separately.
This historic park is on the site at which Father Junipero Serra founded the Mission San Diego de Alcala, the first mission in Alta California (now U.S. California, as opposed to Baja California). The park is...

Business description (2)

Presidio

Manicured and pristine urban park is reminiscent of San Diego's intriguing heritage, with the Junipero Serra Museum being its most popular attraction.
