Every time we visit San Diego, this is a must go for my husband, The meatball sandwich and the Italian sandwich are his faves. They have been a staple in the OB area for years. We recently brought some friends here and they loved it. Great place to pick up a sando and head to the beach for some people...

I grew up going to Pomas, and then I moved away. The Pizza Sandwich is as good as ever, and you won't find a cooler deli in Ocean Beach or the surrounding area. Bring cash, as they are totally old school and don't take credit cards. A must see for tourists wanting the OB experience!

Stop in for great sandwiches. I love the meatball sub. Get it to go and walk down to the beach, Frequented by locals for years. Love this place

This was the second time I had visited Pomas in Ocean Beach and the same staff was there, which was good and the meatball sammie was just as fantastic as the first time.
