Italy-based chain brings their thin, Euro pizzas to Midtown.

In Short
Sitting quietly next to bombastic Ra Sushi, Piola is a pizza chain from Italy that takes up a small-but-swooping space in the 1010 Peachtree building. With colorful lights and...

Disappointing

Went with Friends, thought looked fun and, interesting menu. Wine list very small and uninteresting. Value oriented, but at what cost? Beef carpaccio was not of good quality. Bread's good. Ravioli sauce was good, pasta was chewy. Pizza was most disappointing. Italian sausage had no flavor, wasn't sure it was sausage. One ingredient pizza was very sparse. Careful what you...

2nd time there and wasn't disappointed either time. The frist time stuck to simple- pep & shrooms, the 2nd time they had a renowned pizza chef there and we had one of his artisan pizzas- arugula, tomato, basil, mozzarella, carpaccio. The artisan one was good, but I guess I prefer to keep my pizza simple and for some reason they...

10 of us went there for an dinner this past weekend. I have to say it was an ok but nothing to brag about. We found that the parking difficult and finally after calling, found out there is a parking deck around the corner. The reservations were for 7:30 and we the tables were open but they had not set-up...

Business description (3)

Piola restaurant connects Midtown Atlanta with an international chain of Italian food and culture. The restaurant began in Italy and quickly developed multiple branches in Brazil, whose traditional pizza is similar to Italy's. Now Piola also thrives in Argentina, Mexico, Turkey, Honduras and Atlanta, which is one of 10 U.S. locations. Executive manager and head chef, Grabriele Besozzi, is...

Piola comes to Midtown all the way from Italy. It is authentically Italian, but you not might recognize some of their more original pizza toppings such as the Rimini (smoked salmon and ricotta and tomato sauce). Never fear, you can still get a plain cheese pizza.

Italy arrives on Midtown Mile.

Tips about this business (3)

What to Drink

Out for lunch? Their Swiss lemonade (which is really frothy limeade) is a must for those who want a puckering treat that doesn’t come with alcohol.

Parking

Parking is weird in this part of Midtown. There are a few pay lots, covered parking for the 1010 building and street parking. Come prepared to pay, and hope to find a space.

When to Go

If you come in for a drink during happy hour, plates of apps get passed around free of charge
