Just an okay Marriott

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it has not changed much. Overall the hotel needs updating and I am surprised this property still carriers the Marriott name. East side of the hotel really needs some cleaning and updating. Room was clean and staff friendly. The restaurant was horrible. Food was overcooked and portions small.

Proximity to concert venue..great! Service..not so great. Waited 5-10 minutes for check in. Musty feel in lobby and halls. Outdated appearance, rooms were small, but clean. Fan in bathroom did not work. Bar and food service were slow, more than slow..seemed understaffed. Ice was not available in building. Not up to Marriott standards

I stayed at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa for one night as part of a coach tour.
Upon arrival the check-in service was prompt and we were able to enter our rooms immediately. Unfortunately there was a problem with the room we had been given; however after speaking to the front desk we were moved to another room with minimal hassle....
