As an old New Yorker I longed for Italian sausage and peppers, but what a surprise as they used jalapeños. Also, a favorite is a garlic steak sandwich, but it is overrated.. With two disappointments I did not try anything else on the menu.

Pheasant Club is well known for it great Italian food and long history in the area. Initially located in the boonies in the countryside, 50 years later it is now smack dab in the middle of the city. A lot has changed, but not the great quality food.

most of the dining rooms the bar and the kitchen are part of the original building, the newest and largest rooms was built in 1977. it is named the Luisa room and has a portrait of the restaurant's founder, Luisa palamidessi, prominently displayed.
