There's a "cool Downtown vibe" at this atmospheric American in LA's historic bank district that "satisfies" with "classic" bites like burgers, "addictive" blue-cheese fries and other "solid" midpriced fare ("keep it simple and you can't go wrong"); it's "popular" thanks to a "comfortable, easy" ambiance that's "not too intimidating or precious", and "even when they're crowded, service isn't...

Pete's Cafe & Bar Restaurant Review

If you're wondering where the growing legions of downtown residents are eating, look no further than this sophisticated pub. In the heart of the historic Old Bank District, Pete’s sidewalk patio brings new life to a once-dreary part of downtown. This endearing hangout is a venture of developer Tom Gilmore, the part-owner of Cicada who's building hundreds of lofts in the neighborhood, and...

Mr. McLaughlin calls the shots in old bank H.Q. Dense dining room of white linen tables, mirrored bar with that old school polish. Watch City Hall heavyweights power-munch on twisted Hoover standards like shrimp cocktail bathed in fresh guac and pear tomatoes, macaroni with goat cheese, or crab-stuffed grilled cheese. No need to dance, just lean back with a sublime Helman burger and bleu-cheese...

Our complaint history for this company shows that the one complaint brought to the company’s attention was responded to and given proper consideration.

Bistro-style dining emerges in a historic Downtown L.A. bank building.

In Short
Transformed from its original function as a bank, this massive dining room is a sight to behold with high ceilings, parquet floors, ornately decorated lamps, glossy wood tables...

This is a great location for a business brunch, a romantic dinner or getting together with friends. Which is what I did. We used dine LA to have a fixed menu with three options. I chose the chicken over polenta. The appetizer was trout with potatoes. I tasted a hint of fennel and saffron, bringing out the lovely flavors of the trout. For dessert there was a chocolate tort, a butter cake with...

I used to come here back when it was called Pete's Cafe, and was surprised to see that it is now a new place. We came here for dessert after our Sushi Zo dinner, since it's right across the street. Had the blueberry bread pudding which came with mascarpone ice cream, and we devoured it up! Five stars for dessert.

Getting a little obsessed! I loved the crudités plate here! The avocado toast was...avocado toast. But the Scottish eggs were excellent! They had an awesome taste and crunch to them! Also, the space here is very refreshing! Can't wait to come back!

Came here on a weekday for lunch and it was fairly quiet. I had the fried chicken "club" sandwich which was very good and I loved the extra touch of the added crispy chicken skin on top. The steak tartare was also delicious, and they serve bread from Gjusta which comes close to the amazing bread I became accustomed to in Paris (sigh). I messed up by not realizing they have an off the menu...

There's been a lot of talk about the opening of Ledlow, and not all good. There's been talk of the name, the owner and the switch from its predecessor Pete's. Pete's was a casual, neighborhood favorite with classic burgers and short ribs - one of the first to open in the area in 2002. Then downtown restauranteur Josef Centeno bought Pete's. Centeno is close to having a street named after him in...
