Been here a few times now. Overall it was decent with pretty good food.
Nothing to rave about but no complaints either.
I saw a couple limited beers available including bottles of black note and nitro founders breakfast stout on tap.

Wanted to like this more than I did because it is in my hometown. Been there 7-8 times but service and food is inconsistent. Beer selection is ok not great

Penny Black touts itself as Rochester's barbecue headquarters. With salivating dishes on its menu like the Bourbon Glazed NY Strip steak, the St. Louis BBQ Ribs, and the Smokehouse Platter that features equal parts pulled pork, ribs and brisket, it surely satisfies your craving for barbecue.
