The House was remarkable, a well preserved building from Victorian times, full of original features and antiques, beds very comfortable, we both slept extremely well. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, with delightful company of the hosts and other guests, all of whom had interesting tales to tell.
Of course the star of the stay was Carson, the "dog butler"...
Our stay at The Parsonage was such a wonderful experience! Joan and John (the owners), were the most perfect hosts . The breakfasts were delicious and I looked forward every morning to see what scrumptious dish awaited us! My visit was an experiment in solo travel - John and Joan made it a hit from the very start. Exquisite surroundings in historic home, beautifully maintained and appointed with 21st C comfort and technology to support our modern lifestyle. Delicious full breakfast never repeated during the stay. The other guests seemed custom matched, and to no surprise there were...
The beautifully appointed rooms, both public and private, speak to the passion of the pair at the Parsonage to make sure that your expectations are exceeded. If our bed was any more comfortable, we would have locked ourselves in our room, never to return home.
But then we would have missed the most wonderful breakfast. They have Tartine Bread!!! To...
John and Joan run a very nice B&B in the Lower Haight neighborhood which is a short bus ride into the heart of San Francisco. The bus stop is right outside the front door. The house is an old Victorian mansion that has all the comforts of home. As soon as we walked in I felt as if I had...
The charm of the house was irresistible with generously proportioned rooms, Carrera marble fireplaces with original over-mantels and rose brass chandeliers. They have gently coaxed the house into the 21st century adding bathrooms one by one, installing an elevator, and creating guest rooms with the charm of a more gracious era as well as modern amenities. Since 1995 John and Joan have been welcoming travelers and honing their skills as breakfast cooks and innkeepers. Delicious breakfasts are served each morning in the dining room. At the end of the day, guests are welcome to a tray of brandy and chocolates in the parlor. The Parsonage Inn is located at the corner of Haight and Laguna streets, a short walk from the Hayes Valley district of shops, 80+ restaurants, and major cultural attractions. We recommend coming from the San Francisco or Oakland airports by taxi, shuttle or BART.
